Utilizing a DJI Matrice 30T Thermal Drone I will respond to your property or hunting location. We will discuss the area the deer was last seen along with possible direction of travel and blood trail. This will establish a starting point for our search to begin. Once the drone is airborne, we will establish a grid search pattern while looking through the thermal image looking for the animal's thermal signature. Using a 24" monitor the client will be able to view the images feedback from the drone.
Utilizing the drone, we can take a series of photographs of your property upload them into a mapping program. Once completed, the program will put all the images together providing you with a current up-to-date image of your property. This can be useful for new property owners, establishing possible areas for food plots or hunting locations.
The DJI Matrice 30T Thermal drone allows the client to see anything with thermal heat radiation "a heat signature". While flying, the thermal camera will pick up the heat immitted from the animal and show it as a white-hot color other than the surrounding area objects. At altitudes of over 200 feet, I can look over a large area of property and see any objects of thermal heat to investigate.
Aerial photography can provide a vivid image of homes, buildings and property. Not only does this spectacular view provide the client with a color view from above, it also allows you to see the home or building along with the surrounding property in one photograph. The photos are done from every angle possible providing you with a full 360-degree view form above or if wanted straight ahead.
Crop loss/damage due to overpopulated deer feeding can mean large revenues lost each year. Maryland Department of Agriculture estimated in May of 2023 that one deer can cause over $50 per acre in revenue loss. Using the Thermal drone, we can fly your farm giving the owner a count of deer on the farm at that given time. Once the estimate of deer on the farm is provided you can multiply that number with volume of possible revenue loss each year.
Drone scouting gives you an immediate view of deer on your property at a that given time. This can be valuable for someone with new property or property they are unfamiliar with. Flying a drone, a height of over 100' allows you to view the deer without harassment or leaving human scent throughout the property. plus, it gives you an estimate of the numbers of deer on your property at the given time
John retired from the Maryland Army National Guard in 2021 with 25 years of service. He is currently a Police officer with 19 years on the job. He brings 40+ years of hunting experience and knowledge. His passion for hunting and the outdoors stems into his 3 boys who also share that same passion and will be the future of deer hunting enthusiasts.
The use of drones for scouting allows an overview of the entire property without disturbing the deer's natural behavior or routine. This method also alleviates any scent trail a hunter may leave by entering and exiting the property.
With the proper height flown and the low volume of its operating noise, it will be almost undetectable to the deer.
The use of drones for deer recovery can help eliminate the issue of lost deer or bumping wounded deer. With thermal imaging technology we can locate a thermal heat signature up to 3 days old on a deceased deer depending on the weather.
